In this article, unless the context otherwise requires:

Civil union” is a contractual relationship established by two (2) eligible persons and which has been registered pursuant to this article.

Health care facility” means every place, institution, building or agency, whether organized for profit or not, which provides facilities with medical services, nursing services, health screening services, other health-related services, supervisory care services, personal care services or directed care services and includes home health agencies as defined in A.R.S. § 36-151 and hospice service agencies.

Party to a civil union” means a person who has registered a civil union with the Town of Clarkdale.

Registered civil union partners” means a person who has registered a civil union with any city or town in the State of Arizona or other legal governmental body, and is not party to any existing civil union, domestic partnership, marriage, or other legally recognized domestic relationship with any third party.

Town of Clarkdale certificate of civil union” means a document that certifies that the persons named on the certificate have registered a contractual relationship in the Town of Clarkdale, Arizona, pursuant to this article. [Resolution #1447, 2013; Ordinance #356, 2013; prior code § 8-6-2.]
