A. Whenever the Town has knowledge or it is brought to the attention of the Town that any person licensed under this article has violated, or is violating, any of the provisions of this article, such person shall be cited to appear before a hearing officer designated by the Town Manager, on a day certain, to show cause why his/her license should not be suspended or revoked. Such citation shall state the duty of the person cited to appear personally at the time and place and shall be served by an officer of the Police Department in the manner provided for personal service of civil summons. It shall be the duty of the person cited to appear personally at the time and place named in the citation.

B. If, after such hearing, the hearing officer determines that there is good and sufficient reason for the suspension or revocation of the cited person’s license, the hearing officer shall enter an order effective immediately to such effect and so notify the cited person by registered mail. The decision of the hearing officer revoking or suspending any license shall be final. [Prior code § 8-4-6.]
