A. Any vacancy that shall occur in any Town office that is appointed by the Council shall be filled by appointment of the Council, and any vacancy in any Town office that is appointed by the Town Manager shall be filled by appointment of the Town Manager.

B. One person may hold more than one office and, at the discretion of the appointing body, the functions of a Town official may be validly performed and discharged by a deputy, another Town official, or an otherwise qualified individual not holding office but employed by the Town.
