In the event of the temporary absence or disability of both the Mayor and Vice Mayor, the Council may designate another of its members to serve as Acting Mayor, who shall have all powers, duties and responsibilities of the Mayor during such absence or disability. In the event of resignation or permanent absence or disability of the Mayor or Vice Mayor, the Council may appoint another of its members to complete the term of office. [Prior code § 2-2-3.]
