At the first regular meeting after the general election, the Council shall designate one (1) of its members as Vice Mayor, who shall serve at the pleasure of the Council. The Vice Mayor shall perform the duties of the Mayor during the Mayor’s absence or disability. [Prior code § 2-2-2.]
