A. Collection. The Town or the Magistrate Court may refer for collection any delinquent monetary penalties imposed under this article. Any collection costs or fees or attorneys’ fees incurred or reasonably expected to be incurred by the Town are recoverable from the violator and may be added to any balance due from a violator to the Town or the Magistrate Court.

B. Civil Suit. The Town may file or cause to be filed a civil case in a court with jurisdiction to recover the monetary penalties imposed under this article and costs or fees under subsection A of this section.

C. Nonexclusive Collection Remedies. The Town or the Magistrate Court may enforce collection of delinquent fines, fees and penalties as may be provided by law. Any judgment or civil sanction pursuant to this article may be collected as any other civil judgment. [Ordinance #376, 2016; Resolution #1529, 2016; prior code § 1-8-1.]
